Mark Patteson MA VetMB DVC CertVR PhD MRCVS
Mark is a RCVS Recognised Specialist in Cardiology and holds the RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Cardiology as well as the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Radiology. Having qualified in 1986 from Cambridge University, he went on to work with dogs, cats and horses at Bristol University. In 1988 he obtained the Certificate in Small Animal Cardiology, going on to achieve the Diploma in Veterinary Cardiology three years later. He was awarded his PhD in 1993 and the Certificate in Veterinary Radiology in 1995.
Mark leads both the cardiology referral service at Vale Referrals in Gloucestershire and the HEARTVets team, which brings specialist care to heart and lung patients all around the South West. Mark regularly lectures in the UK and Worldwide and has been a Chief examiner for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Mark has published widely on both small animal and equine cardiology.
